Mitsubishi Selfjector purifiers, from the small SJ10 to the larger SJ50 and SJ80 units, are found on a large share of Japanese and Korean built ships. They run for thousands of hours with little attention, which is exactly why overhauls are often under-planned.
A typical intermediate or major overhaul needs more than the main seal ring. Before you order, check the maker's maintenance schedule for your running hours and include:
- The overhaul kit for the bowl: O-rings, packings and the main seal ring
- Pilot valve and operating water parts
- Bearings for the vertical and horizontal shafts, and the friction blocks of the clutch
- Gear set or worm wheel if wear marks are visible
- Distributor and disc stack parts if inspection shows erosion
Quote the purifier model and its serial number. Kits change between production years, and a kit that looks right may not seal correctly.
We supply genuine and quality-alternative spares for SJ-series purifiers and can quote both side by side.
