Spare parts quotations use condition labels that are not always explained. Two quotes for the same part number can mean very different things.
Genuine
Supplied by the original equipment maker or its licensee, in the maker's packaging, usually with maker documentation. Highest price, and the safest choice for warranty and class-critical items.
OEM
Made by the factory that produces the part for the maker, but sold without the maker's branding. Same production line, usually a lower price and sometimes a shorter lead time.
Quality alternative
Made to the original drawing by a qualified third-party manufacturer. A sensible option for wear parts and older equipment, provided the material and tolerances are verified.
Every line of an MHMS quotation states which of the three you are buying, together with origin and lead time, so you can choose by budget and urgency.
