Daihatsu DK-20 engines, in five, six and eight cylinder versions, power the generators on a great many Japanese and Korean built vessels. Spares are widely available, which makes it easy to forget that versions differ.
Items we see most often on DK-20 requisitions
- Fuel injection valve nozzles and fuel pump plungers
- Piston rings, piston pin bushes and connecting rod bearings
- Cylinder liner O-rings and cylinder head gaskets
- Inlet and exhaust valves, seats and guides
- Engine gauges and thermometers on the local panel
Older DK-20 engines and later production engines do not always share part numbers, and licence-built engines can differ again. Include the engine number from the nameplate on every requisition.
