Taiko Kikai pumps serve cooling water, fire and general service, ballast, lube oil and fuel duties on a very wide range of ships. With hundreds of models in service, the same question comes up again and again: which parts actually wear?
For centrifugal models such as the EMC, ESC and CIT series, and gear pumps such as the NHG series, the usual list is short:
- Mechanical seal assembly, or gland packing on older pumps
- Ball bearings for the pump and motor ends
- Wear rings or liner rings for centrifugal pumps
- Shaft sleeve, O-rings and casing gasket
- For gear pumps: gears, bushes and the relief valve spring
Our partner factory in Korea holds priced parts for a large range of Taiko models, so many pump spares can be quoted within a day. Send the pump model, serial number and the item numbers from the sectional drawing.
